This large scale drawing is a reverse-view of Edward Hopper's Nighthawks (below). The figure with his back turned to the viewer in the original painting is revealed as me, while reflections of the other diner patrons can be seen in the window glass. The shadowy figure on the street stands in approximately in the position of the viewer of the Hopper painting.

This drawing is from 1997. I've seen this idea done by others since then, but I hadn't at that time, really.
