"Dearest Eileen, Amy and family,
My heart tugs at the hem of heaven for all of you ... your tears
are in my prayers. I will always remember Pete as a man of great
spirit, honor, integrity and love... I have always spoken of the
life you all shared as seeing people "all wrapped up in love
for and the joy of one another." May you be comforted by
your love for one another and the eternal love that Pete has imbedded
within your hearts.
Peace, dear ones,
Ellen M Cuomo"

"So glad that Patty shared this with us. The Eulogy is ....beyond
words. The reference to "It's a Wonderful Life" brought
back memories of Uncle Larry.
As he was dying he said over and over "it's been a wonderful
life". That Christmas Linda gave me an ornament referencing
the movie with a wonderful note as if Dad had written it. It has
a special place each Christmas.
Once again my thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Looking forward to a possible upcoming "cousins" weekend!"

"Two words..."THAT LAUGH". Last summer at my daughter
Sarah's wedding I was across the hall getting some coffee &
I heard "THAT LAUGH" without turning around I knew Pete
was there...and he was! When I turned around there he was sitting
at a table with my mom & dad, laughing. I will miss you Pete,
but your memory will live on. "

"We’ll all miss Pete, he was a special
person, but we’re also all better people because he passed
through our lives. Character, integrity, humility, dedication,
sense of humor and passion are all descriptions that come to mind
when I think of Pete. The calling hours, the funeral mass, and
particularly the eulogies by Amy and Tony were inspirational.
Our warmest thoughts to Eileen and family."

"Pete,
I am feeling so sorry for myself. I have lost one of the greatest
friends that I will ever know. My wife shared with me many of
the details of the funeral. A tribute to an incredible human being.
I read every word of Amy's eulogy and thought that you were up
there smiling and feeling so proud of your family. They are awesome
Pete! I have so many fond memories of our friendship that I don't
know where to begin nor where to end. Because its not over Pete,
I will treasure your smile, strength, humility, and compassion
for the rest of my life."

"I met Pete and his family about two years ago for the first
time at a wedding reception for one of his boys at his home. He
was such a humble man for as much as he had accomplished in life.
He took the time to talk with everyone and that is what stands
out in my mind. What a very nice man.
I lost my father 3 years ago to colon cancer at the age of 50
and it helps me to think that he is in a better place helping
others and I am sure Pete is too.
My prayers and thoughts are with the family."

"To Family and Friends
As an Ohio Edison employee, I am very saddened by the passing
of Mr. Burg.
He was a wonderful example of what we should all strive to be.
May God bless you,
Dwight L. Konic."

"Pete graciously served on our board and I had the pleasure
of working with him as he chaired our Akron campaign. While we
often discussed our status with the campaign, his involvment was
heightened by his interest in giving young people educational
opportunities. He will be missed. The funeral mass was very impressive
and it was especially nice to gain an understanding of the family
side of his life."

"Pete always found the time to be with family and friends,
even though his job required a lot of time. If we were to walk
by his house he would always take the time to talk to us while
he was working in the yard or chipping a golf ball. Pete we valued
your friendship and caring manner."
